Thursday Night Jams: Live Music Every Thursday in West Loop

Thursday Night Jams brings free, live local music to The VIG West Loop every week from Memorial Day through Labor Day as a different Chicago band on the stage from 9:30 to 11:30 PM, then a DJ keeping the floor moving until 1:30 AM. Don’t worry about cover, just come and enjoy.

Live Music in West Loop, Every Thursday Night

West Loop has plenty of places to hear a pianist or a curated playlist. Thursday Night Jams is something else. We book full bands—genres ranging from soul, funk, rock, country, indie—and we give them a real stage and a real crowd. The bar stays loud, the kitchen stays open, and the night runs late.

Doors are always open. There's no cover charge for Thursday Night Jams, no reservation required to catch the show, and no minimum at the bar. Grab a seat early if you want one, or roll in around 10 and post up.
